Who We Are
Who We Are
fluxLoop was created in 2012 when 4 guys decided to create their own future within the marketing world. A dream to create a company that would revolutionize user experience in a physical context. The company was established in the center of Oslo, Norway.
Capa made the dream come true
With a stroke of luck, we came in contact with Capa Kinoreklame. They had their own dream of expanding their product portfolio with a commercialized product for their cinema lobbies around the country. With Capa’s competence in business combined with our competence in technology- and design, the dream of developing a good product was right around the corner.
Our first product
fluxBox was our first project in cooperation with Capa. The project consisted of the development of a interactive touchscreen and a software platform to create, maintain, manage, and distribute interactive content automatically to our screens. fluxBox soon showed the need for good analytical and reporting tool as it is essential to always be able to measure the effect of what you create and communicate.
Innovative facial analysis
In early 2012 we created a solution to analyse the faces looking at or interacting with our fluxBox solution. This technology made it possible to determine age, gender, and time spent in front of our screens. The solution was new, innovative and not to mention useful in many areas. The technology was used by several companies in their interactive campaigns. Among them was Chess, Kappahl, Coca Cola, Sony Music, DNB, Oreo Mondelez, as well as other brands.
A new era with a new focus
Even though fluxBox was a technological success, the distribution became limited. So, in 2014 fluxLoop changed its focus towards beacons, a growing technology offering multiple possibilities with the use of Bluetooth. Pinch provides the ideal solution to creating unique digital user experience. The strong indication that beacon technology will play a major role in developing customer’s journeys and the overall user experience by tying the online and offline tighter together.
Adapting to the new ecosystem
In this day and age the majority of the population are in possession of a smartphone, as well as using services such as Google, Apple, and Facebook. These companies have already shown a keen interest in transforming beacons into a success. With this in mind, we at fluxLoop are convinced that Pinch will provide new, innovative and exciting experiences for the customer within this modern ecosystem.
A bright future
With a product such as Pinch, fluxLoop is defining a new industry in a new and growing market. In a short time period we have acquired extensive and important experience with the use of beacons within the Norwegian market. Actors across different fields of communication such as retail and shopping, mobility, tourism and experience as well as events and conferences are already using Pinch. Among our customers are Clear Channel, NetCom and in the summer of 2015 fluxLoop and InFuture provided Pinch as a pilot project for Norway's biggest zoo, Dyreparken i Kristiansand.
The future is bright for fluxLoop and Pinch as the opportunities for beacons continue to grow. We are looking forward to continue the work and hope you come along for the ride!
